The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has urged motorists whose Smart Driving Licences are ready for collection to pick them up from their designated centres.
In a notice issued on Friday, October 16, the authority reminded applicants to visit the centres where they registered their biometrics and carry their original national identity cards for verification.
“Visit the centre where you registered your biometrics to collect your Smart Driving Licence today. Remember to bring your original ID for verification,” NTSA stated.

The authority also encouraged motorists to check the status of pending documents online and collect those that are ready.
NTSA has cautioned motorists against engaging brokers or intermediaries to facilitate services such as driving licence applications, vehicle logbooks and new-generation number plates.
The authority said its services are available directly to the public and urged applicants to use official channels instead of paying middlemen.
“Do not deal with brokers. We have made our processes completely transparent, giving you full control without any need for brokers or intermediaries,” the authority stated.
Brokers may claim they can speed up licence applications and renewals, arrange driving tests, process vehicle ownership transfers or help applicants bypass queues.
However, using unauthorised intermediaries can expose motorists to fraudulent payments, counterfeit documents and potential misuse of personal information.
NTSA has directed motorists to use its online portal to establish whether their documents are ready for collection.
According to the advisory, applicants can use their national identity numbers to search for driving licences. Vehicle and motorcycle registration numbers can be used to check the status of logbooks and reflective number plates.
The status-checking service is free and does not require applicants to register an account, according to the information provided in the notice.
The portal also identifies the designated collection centre for each document, helping motorists avoid unnecessary trips to NTSA offices.
Motorists experiencing delays or other challenges can submit their concerns through the online portal.
NTSA has indicated that updates on resolved complaints are sent to the email address provided when the complaint is submitted.
The authority’s latest advisory encourages motorists to track their applications directly, collect completed documents promptly and avoid paying unauthorised intermediaries for services available through official channels.
